Leading international conventions etched in history

The Palais des congrès unveiled its Parcours de la renommée walk of fame, an architectural installation commemorating the leading international conventions that marked the last quarter century. These events attracted over 2.4 million visitors, generating significant intellectual and economic spinoffs totalling more than $2.8 billion for Montréal and the province.

Palais des congrès secures 17 major events slated to generate spinoffs exceeding

For the previous quarter ending December 31, 2009, the Société du Palais des congrès de Montréal has confirmed it has secured 11 new international conventions and six national conventions. These major events represent economic spinoffs for Montréal estimated at over $63M, and will result in more than 68,000 room nights being booked in hotels across the city.
