Request for Access to Information
To be admissible, a request for access to a document or information must be sufficiently specific to identify the information being requested.
Note: The Palais des congrès de Montréal cannot commit to fulfilling a request
if the information being request involves creating a new document or report.
You must apply in writing to the Access to Information officer, and include the following information:
- Date of the request
- The title(s) of the document(s) sought, also state the nature of the document(s) being requested
- Your full contact information
- First and last names
- Company name (if applicable)
- Address
- Phone number
- Email address (if applicable)
Be sure to indicate that your request is being made pursuant to section 9 of the Act
respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information.

Protection of personal information Confidentiality of personal information
Any personal information held by a public body regarding an individual must be protected from any type of inappropriate use.
The Palais des congrès de Montréal does its utmost to guarantee to its employees, customers and suppliers
that the personal information they provide will be kept confidential under the Act respecting access
to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information.
Below are the provisions of the Access Act respecting the protection
of personal information of a confidential nature held by public bodies:
Collection – The Palais des congrès de Montréal shall strictly collect the personal
information regarding its employees or customers it requires for its operations. This rule is imperative,
and the organization may not deviate from it.
Retention – The Palais des congrès de Montréal shall keep the personal information
it holds in such a way as to ensure its confidentiality. Access to said information shall be granted only
to people authorized to consult it, and strictly during the course of performing their duties.
Communication to third parties – Personal information that is confidential shall not be
disclosed to a third party without the consent of the person it concerns or unless an exception is provided
for under the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information.
- Document classification plan
As required under section 16 of the Act respecting access to documents held by public
bodies and the protection of personal information, the Palais maintains a
classification list to locate its documents.
- Inventory of personal information files
The personal information held by the Palais des congrès de Montréal is declared in an inventory of
personal information files in accordance with Section 76 of the Act respecting access to documents
held by public bodies and the protection of personal information. This inventory is accessible
under subparagraph 5 of the first paragraph of section 4 of the Regulation respecting the
distribution of information and the protection of personal information.
- Information pertaining to contractual agreements concluded or being negotiated under section 22 of the Act respecting contracting by public bodies
Following the public tendering process, and within 15 days of having awarded a contract, the Société
publishes in the SEAO electronic tendering system of the Government of Québec, the name of the
individual who awarded the contract and the amount of the contract. Twice a year, the Société
also publishes in the same electronic tendering system the information respecting contracts
exceeding $25,000 that it concluded by mutual agreement or following an invitation to tender.
- Register of personal information released
The Palais des congrès de Montréal keeps a register of personal information it releases,
as required under section 67.3 of the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies
and the protection of personal information.
