Dr Justine Farley has been a palliative care specialist for 25 years. She has been the director of palliative care at Montréal's St-Mary's Hospital since 1998. A clinical assistant professor with the family medicine and oncology departments, she was also president of the RSPQ Québec palliative care network from 2006 to 2011. She has been actively involved in the debate on the issue of dying with dignity and has been focusing on medical practice standards and the ethics of end-of-life care.
