| André Tardif Director of Operations |
| As Director of Operations, Mr. Tardif is responsible for managing a team which works to meet customer needs in audio visual and telecommunication services and ensures event support (parking, information, ticketing, registration, etc.). Responsible for the Palais’ investments in technology, Mr. Tardif led the effort, during the Palais expansion, to install a comprehensive telecommunications infrastructure throughout the Palais and a master control room incorporating the latest in broadcasting technology. It is also thanks to his expertise and leadership that the Palais is now a wireless Internet zone.
With a university education in IT management, Mr. Tardif joined the Palais in March 1998 as Director, Technologies before taking on his current position in 2002. His prior experience includes a long stint at Matol Botanical International which benefited from his expertise as IT analyst and subsequently as Director of Information Technologies. A member of the Fédération informatique du Québec, an IT professional association, Mr. Tardif is a devoted father and ardent sportsman who spends a great deal of his leisure time coaching and managing hockey teams and amateur baseball. |
